I have served on the board of the Saskatchewan Massage Therapist Association, the Alberta Registered Massage Therapist Society, as well as president of the Remedial Massage Therapists Association. I founded Alberta Massage Training in 2001, and today I am so fortunate to have such a professional caring group of people working for me.

My background, prior to making Massage Therapy a full time career, included medical transcription and secretarial work in a hospital, working in the oilfield industry as a business partner with my husband and then taking Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification. Training for massage began at the Northern Institute of Massage in 1994 and I graduated from the Massage Therapy Program in 1996. Since that time, I have enjoyed enhancing my training with Myofascial Release and Stretch, Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Assessment and Treatment, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, Mother and Infant Massage, Jade Stone Massage, and Compassionate Touch. Varied experience over the past 16 years has included work in chiropractic, spa and sport settings, wellness clinics and private practice. Prior to taking a teaching position with Alberta Massage Training in 2006, I assisted and instructed classes at the MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy from 2001 – 2005. Instructor training, “Becoming a Master Instructor Program”, through the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2007 was interesting and beneficial for me. I believe that the benefits of massage therapy are many and of great value. Facilitating each student’s personal development of these skills is a pleasure and a privilege.
